Refund Policy

1. Overview
Power of Knowledge International Journal is committed to fair and transparent refund practices. This policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for Article Processing Charges (APCs) in accordance with Indian consumer protection values.
2. Article Processing Charge (APC) Refunds
2.1 Full Refund Eligible
- Payment made in error (e.g., duplicate transaction).
- Technical failure preventing manuscript submission.
- Rejection before peer review initiation.
- Withdrawal request made within 24 hours of payment.
2.2 Partial Refund (50%)
- Withdrawal after peer review has begun but before completion.
- Desk rejection after initial administrative processing.
2.3 No Refund
- Paper rejected after full peer review process (we charge for the process, not just acceptance).
- Paper published and later retracted due to author misconduct or plagiarism.
- Withdrawal request made after paper acceptance.
- Request made more than 30 days after rejection/withdrawal.
3. Waiver Requests
Authors from low-income countries or with demonstrated financial hardship may apply for APC waivers before submission. Waiver decisions are final and must be approved prior to payment.
4. Refund Process
- Submit refund request to finance@powerofknowledge.in.
- Include: Transaction ID, Manuscript ID (if applicable), and reason for refund.
- Requests are reviewed within 5 business days.
- Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days to the original payment method.
